About Us
Taverna Birdland, a family-run restaurant, began in the 1960s as a meeting spot for fishermen and hunters. Today, our trattoria—perfect for tourists, families, and workers in the areas of Padua and Chioggia—serves specialties from homestyle Venetian cooking and pizzas of all kinds. The atmosphere is informal and welcoming—ideal for relaxing after an outing or getting together with friends over good food.

Situated between the Riviera del Brenta and the Venice Lagoon, the places around us are rich in stories, traditions, and typical flora and fauna. The Menu
We showcase the typical flavors of Venetian cuisine with seasonal dishes featuring fish, select meats, local game, and zero-mile vegetables. Slow, artisanal cooking and recipes passed down through generations make our courses unique. Rounding out the offer are pizzas baked in a wood-fired oven, also with alternative doughs: whole wheat, rice flour, and turmeric. We also offer a set menu for partnered workers.

Eating a good pizza is one of life’s pleasures. That’s why we select quality flours and we prepare long-rising doughs to offer our customers products that are highly digestible, with rich flavor and soft, fragrant texture. In our menu you can find several pizzas to choose from: the classics, those with original fillings – born from the creativity of our pizza maker, and the monthly ones – to always enjoy unique and tasty combinations. Do you prefer a different dough? Try our proposals integrals, of rice and with turmeric. And if you feel like enjoying pizza at home, choose our takeaway!
